WEBINAR

Hosting industry placements with COVID restrictions – manufacturing / factory & science workplaces

There is no charge to attend this webinar.

An industry placement is an extended period of structured time that a student spends in your workplace, developing real skills and making a meaningful contribution to your organisation. They can be hosted in a broad range of roles. Many employers are already offering industry placements, which will be a fundamental part of T Levels – a new course designed by employers for 16-19-year olds, which combines classroom learning with a substantial industry placement (at least 315 hours).

COVID-19 has had a significant impact on working practices and the way employers and their staff operate – so how might you host an industry placement student in this context? In this 1-hour webinar, we’ll look at how you might offer industry placements in different manufacturing/factory & science workplaces, meet COVID safety requirements, and the government support now available to help you.

The webinar will cover:

  • COVID 19 safety measures related to industry placements
  • Discussions on the key considerations and potential barriers to hosting industry placements
  • Case study insights and advice from those already offering manufacturing/factory or science placements in manufacturing/factory or science workplaces
  • The government support available to help you

Who is the webinar for?

This webinar is for anyone who would like to know more about industry placements in a manufacturing/factory or science workplace and explore some of the issues raised by the COVID 19 safety measures.
