Industry placements give you:

WHAT ARE INDUSTRY PLACEMENTS?
Have a look at the case study in each of the specific skill areas below for an introduction to industry placements.
An industry placement is a shift from traditional work experience to a longer, more structured placement in the workplace for young people to develop real work skills and make a meaningful contribution to your organisation. Placements will last at least 315 hours (approx. 45 days).
Industry placements are happening now - to prepare for T Levels, employers are partnering with local colleges and schools to trial industry placements. Industry placements give you a chance to work alongside the next generation of workers entering your industry, making sure they develop the knowledge, attitude and practical skills to succeed. Industry placements are a part of T Levels, new courses for 16-19-year olds that have been designed by employers.
TLevels are a new qualification for students aged 16 to 19 who’ve finished GCSEs. They sit alongside A levels and apprenticeships to give young people the technical and practical skills needed to be an asset in the workplace. T Levels combine classroom learning with a substantial industry placement.
